  • What are your prices?
Each piece must be quoted individually, but these are general starting prices. :)
  • What kind of clay do you use?
I currently use a 1:1 blend of Super Sculpey and Sculpey Firm. There is a factory blend of the two called Sculpey Medium. I’ve tried and compared it, and I personally prefer the at-home blend. I use a blend of Premo! and Sculpey Souffle for jewelry items.
  • What do you use for the eyes?
I use clear glass cabochons for the eyes and paint the backs. I much prefer the look to sculpted eyes, though they are difficult to paint accurately since I work with 3mm to 5mm typically. They also have a following effect which can make some people uneasy.
  • Do you use armatures? If so, of what?"
Yes, all of my sculptures have armatures of wire and foil. There are many kinds of wire you can use, but I typically use 20 gauge copper. I tend to end the armatures in the wrists and ankles so I have wiggle room in case I need to adjust the sizing down. My rings, however, do not have armatures in them.
  • Do you paint the sculptures? If so, what paint(s)?"
I do paint them, since they all start out grey. I usually use Apple Barrel and FolkArt acrylic paints. Please, DO NOT use spray paints or enamel on polymer clay, as it can cause the baked clay to break down and become gooey.
  • How long have you been sculpting?
I sculpted little things as a young kid, but stopped for about 12 years until late 2014-early 2015, I was 20 years old. I’ve been sculpting ever since.
  • Can you sculpt ___ species/object?
I will attempt anything you throw at me, so long as it's not sexually explicit, hateful, or overly violent. Feel free to contact me at any time to confirm my threshold. :)
  • Have you ever taken classes for sculpting?
No, I am self-taught. I’d love to take a class though. Almost did as a kid, but there weren’t enough people signed up, so the class cancelled.
  • RINGS: How durable are they, and can they fit _ size?"
The blend I use is surprisingly durable. I have put my rings through stress tests with no damage, and even tried to pull one apart and failed. That being said, though I've not had one break, they can under enough stress (which I'm guessing would be a lot). Rings are highly flexible, and can fit any size. My first batch were made to US size 5 and fit up to 14 easy. I can make special sizes if needed.
